Good Eats in Maui, Hawaii
Maui, Hawaii- Restaurant Dishes
I was on a mission during my Maui, Hawaii vacation to find the best restaurant dishes to share with you. Nothing is better than experiencing the local and cultural dishes of someplace new. When traveling, I never eat at a chain restaurant!! I like to support the local restaurants and explore the fare of the location I am visiting.

A Casual Restaurant
Our first morning on Maui, we woke extremely early…jet lagged from our New York flight. Breakfast was the first thing on our mind and we had past Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop the night before on the Honoapi’ilani Highway.
Leoda’s is a casual cafe, with counter-ordering and family style seating. The atmosphere is described on their website as a plantation era style. I found it to be farmhouse style and could have been decorated by Joanna Gaines herself!
Sustainable Farm-fresh Products
Leoda’s has the most unique breakfast menu! The menu boasts farm fresh and sustainable products. From unique pancakes to Launiupoko eggs to Hamakua mushrooms, everything on the menu sounded delicious! But the Seared Ahi Benedict was the only thing on my mind!
Best Eggs Benedict on Maui
Now, I am not typically an Eggs Benedict fan on account I don’t eat ham. The Seared Ahi Benedict sounded amazing and I was not disappointed! The fresh eggs are accompanied by sashimi grade Ahi and avocados, smothered in fresh basil pesto and Hollandaise sauce, topped with watercress and served atop fresh baked muffins. The flavor combination is completely unique and totally amazing! The portion size is generous and although I was stuffed…I could NOT stop eating it.
Mini Pies!
There was a nice selection of mini pies available, including Strawberry, Banana Cream, and Apple Crumb. The Monkey Bread looked so good…but my breakfast left me full to the brim. I will need to go back to Maui for some pie!
Leoda’s is unique eats and worth the stop if you are planning a Maui Hawaii vacation. I absolutely recommend trying the Seared Ahi Benedict for a new spin on a traditional breakfast favorite. Maui deserves a spot on your bucket list!
Wander well.
